A French Artist Based In Singapore
Hélène Le Chatelier is a French artist based in Singapore since 2010.
She was trained in Paris and specialised in Fresco, a technique inherited from the Italian Renaissance. Unexpectedly, the ink wash technique she has developed resonates with Chinese ink art, while her focus on the passage of time and the transient nature of life connects her with many Asian artists. |
Her most recent exhibitions took place in Europe, Asia and America:
- Art Paris 2016
- Seattle & New York 2016
- Singapore, 2014, 2015, 2016
- Bangkok 2016, 2017

Explore Your Inner Self
Internal LandscapesIn a world where "intimacy" is challenged by the contemporary habit of the "self recording mode" to be shared instantly on social media, the artist invites us to a different journey.
This inward journey is an Odyssey in a silent world to eventually discover our personal and collective roots. When we sink into ourselves, what we discover are unexplored territories. Hélène's nudes and internal landscape constitute a cartography of remembrance. |

How Hélène's Work Fits With Intersections' Vision
Trained in Fresco Technique, Hélène has developed her own ink wash technique, which is both at the intersection of Western and Eastern aesthetics and of tradition and modernity.
Her nudes as well as her internal landscapes resonate with Chinese ink art. She also succeeds in rejuvenating the ancestral brush technique by creating video works and installations.
