Picture
The end of the year  is a time of hope. It's a time for giving and indulging.
Nothing like art to heal your pain,  make you forget your sorrow and  uplift your spirit.

For this festive season,  Intersections has created an exclusive collection of colourful and  inspiring artworks to satisfy all collectors' tastes and  budgets.

Nicola Anthony (GB) , Emi Avora (Greece), Nge Lay (Myanmar),  Mona Choo  (Singapore), Min Zaw (Myanmar) and Andy Yang  (Singapore) are featured in this collection and wish you a happy holiday season.

Artworks for Art Lovers on a budget

Intersections invites you to discover  a selection of Christmas gifts made by renowned artist Emi Avora for less than 500 SGD.

The tropical nature that surrounds us in Singapore is a constant subject matter in the artist’s practice as she is keen to explore how we interact and feel around nature and our environment.

Artworks between 500 and 1000 SGD

Pilgrimage is a series of 12 artworks, which were created in 2016, part of ‘Intersection’ body of works, a collaboration between visual artist Nicola Anthony & poet Marc Nair. By exploring and pairing neighborhoods in their home cities, the artists strive to express the secret links which bind any personal and national histories.

Pilgrimage series is inspired by the history of Kampong Glam in Singapore. Standing in Haji Lane today, it’s impossible to remember when ships docked by Jalan Sultan. However, up to the mid-1970s, Kampong Glam was the pilgrim hub of Southeast Asia. Devotees would buy their supplies from shops and board a pilgrim ship to Mecca from Beach Road. Look at Pilgrimage, then close your eyes and experience ghosts and vibrations from the past manifesting in the now.

For photography collectors:  artworks by renowned artist below 2000 SGD

Based on family photos, Frozen Memory is a series created by Nge Lay to keep memory and celebrate displaced people, victims of civil wars and totalitarian regimes through time around the world.

Frozen Memory was first showcased at Neimenster Cultural Centre in Luxembourg in 2021. Two new artworks were created in 2022 for an exhibition which took place in November 2022 at SEA JUNCTION,  Bangkok Art Centre, Thailand.
