Overview
Catherine Delmas-Lett is a French artist living and working in Singapore.
She found her artistic vocation very early, through contacts with the designers of the Cristallerie de Vallérysthal, where she lived with her parents from one to seven years old. After graduating from ESAG Penninghen (Academie Julian) in 1984, she started her career as an interior architect. Since 2007, she works as a full-time artist, dedicating her time to drawing, painting and writing. In 2015 she moved to Malaysia and settled on the east coast in the Terengganu. Isolated in a small jungle by the sea, she studied and painted her feelings in contact with the animals that surrounded her. She also started writing small poems inspired by her daily routine as a city dweller discovering the life in the jungle. Catherine Delmass-Lett has exhibited in Grenoble, France, in Doha, Qatar and in Malaysia. Her work is currently exhibited at the Residence of the French Ambassador to Singapore. |
