Overview
Born in 1944, Myint Myint Tin went through the high expectations of newly independent Burma and the harshness of the Military junta’s years.
Trained in Physics, she studied art under Saya Gyi U Lun Gywe. Through her own artistic practice, as a patron of the arts and founder of her own gallery she created in 1991, she has always followed her dreams. At 73, Myint Myint Tin remains very active and recently participated in Intersections' Through Women' Eyes 2014 exhibition and When Blood Boils show at Art Stage Singapore 2017. Most recently, she was featured in a brief 15 minute documentary, The Lives of Women in the Arts, by Burmese director Mie Mie. Learn more from the Myanmar Times. |
